Opportunities for Kindness

Weekend Food Bags

It's time to help again!  Many of the students in our local schools struggle with food insecurity. Our schools currently offer free lunch and breakfast to ALL students, but this still leaves some students wondering what they will eat over weekends and holidays. Neighborhood Bridges is looking to bridge the gap for these students. We currently have approximately 100 students who would benefit from receiving some support in this area.

We are looking to provide individually packaged items that are ready to eat or easily prepared. You can help by donating any of the following items:
Individual cereal boxes/cups
Granola bars
Individual muffin packs
Individual fruit cups
Individual applesauce cups
Pop top ravioli/spaghetti
Easy Mac and cheese cups
Ramen noodle bowls
Individual wrapped peanut butter/cheese crackers
Individual bags chips/Cheez-Its/pretzels
Fruit snacks

Family in Need of grocery assistance

A local family is struggling to make ends meet after the dad of the house was severely injured in a car accident. He is currently in therapy multiple days per week and unable to work. This family is down to one income while he recovers. Let’s rally around this family to provide a gift card to a local grocery store to help lighten the load!
Monetary donations can be sent through our website (Give Butter Platform) or gift cards can be dropped off to Pleasant Hill United Methodist, Eastern Valley Fire Department or McAdory Fire- Station 1. Please place in an envelope and mark Neighborhood Bridges Donation.
