The Southwest Local Schools District’s Case Management Coordinator works directly with vulnerable students and families throughout our schools. She is in need of school supplies to restock her supply closet so she can quickly provide essential items to students who need a little extra support.

We have been asked to create 30 Classroom CALMING KITS for Harrison Elementary. A calming kit contains items to help a student calm down when feeling stressed or overwhelmed and is a great strategy to help emotional regulation. These kits will have a designated space in a classroom with the sole intent of being a safe space for a child to go to when they feel their emotions are running too high and they need to regain their emotional and physical control.

From Counselor:
"I have a student who suffered a loss late during this school year, between the loss of her family member and her mom going through cancer treatment she hasn't been able to work to earn the money needed to pay her school fees to get her diploma. Any help towards her fees would be much appreciated! She owes 59.38."

From Counselor: 
"I have a student who was accepted into the Aveda Cosmetology school and she is SO excited to get started on that journey. Unfortunately there is a $100 application fee that must be paid in order to fill her spot and currently her family cannot afford that cost. If anyone could provide any help to help cover this, I know this student would be extremely grateful. "

Need posted by Counselor: "A Harrison Elementary School student needs an alarm clock. The student is responsible for getting himself to school each day. Receiving an alarm clock would help unsure the student is able to get up in time to make it to the bus stop, so he is able to attend school daily."
