Opportunities for Kindness
Recently Filled Needs
A family is in need of reliable transportation to school and work to provide for their home. They were close to their last payment when their vehicle was stolen.
Imagine you’re about to have your car paid off…and it’s stolen. Now, how will you get your child to school and get yourself to work to continue to be able to provide for your family.
A parent is in need of reliable transportation. A donation of a vehicle to neighborhood bridges will give you the tax write off with a receipt for the Kelly Blue Book value of the car.
Financial contributions towards the purchase or payments on a vehicle are tax deductible as well.
Donations of items needed for food pantry at The Gardendale Library
Thank you to so many who have donated to stock the small food pantry at The Gardendale Library this past year.
They continue to need: beef stew, ravioli, chicken/dumplings, hearty soups, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, canned meat of all types, cereal and shelf stable milk, instant coffee and powdered creamer, single serving juice, fruit and pudding cups, spaghetti noodles and sauce w/meat, and more.
They do not need any canned green beans or mixed vegetables at this time.
The food pantry at The Gardendale Library is available for anyone who needs to get a bag or two of food anytime, and they have a list of some larger local food pantries available.
These items can be dropped off directly at the Gardendale Library.

A young man working in our community was recently commended for his work ethic at his pizza job. His single mom was recently out of work without pay with Covid and fell behind financially. Let’s support them with our kindness.
A recent post praised the honesty and work ethic of a young man at a local pizza place. We’ve learned he’s the only child of a single Mom. They found a mass on his brain when he was 3 years old. He was only given a 12% chance to live. That was 14 years ago. He does school online and works with his Mom. She was recently out of work without pay when she contracted Covid. They fell behind financially. The joy of my job in spreading kindness is sharing it with those who would never ask for anything for themselves. Share as you feel led. Every cent donated on their behalf goes directly to them. #kindness is contagious.
