neighborhood bridges donates 100 mobile hot spots to assist Westerville students

Today, neighborhood bridges in Westerville made a donation of $8,000 to Westerville City Schools to provide mobile hot spots to students/families in need.  Earlier this week the school district distributed Chromebooks to students in need and the hot spots will provide needed internet access to school work, announcements, and information from the school district.

We thank Superintendent Dr. John Kellogg for his partnership in securing internet access for Westerville students & families.  We would also like to thank the following organizations/donors for helping to make this happen:

April Schaad State Farm Insurance for a $2,500 donation

The Westerville Education Foundation for its fundraising efforts on behalf of neighborhood bridges

The city of Westerville for granting all residents an electric utility holiday and for guiding residents to make a donation to neighborhood bridges

Additional monies raised during the Covid-19 crisis will be used to possibly supply hot spots to students in need over the summer months and/or applied to our annual summer school intervention fee program.

The $8,000 donation is expected to directly impact a minimum of 1,200 students/family members over the next two months.  #KindnessChangesEverything
