Developmental Toys

A KCS student is experiencing school for the first time - it's his first year of preschool! Because there's a large age gap between him and his older siblings, his family doesn't have toys at home that fit where he is right now. A few developmentally-appropriate toys would give him ways to keep learning and growing through play - supporting the skills he's just beginning to build at school.

A new kinship caregiver is in need of a gently used toddler bedframe and mattress.

Individual Snack Donations Needed

A staff member is looking for a donations of individual snacks (chips, cookies etc). She is looking to use these snacks as random prizes to encourage kids to want to come to school. She needs 500 snack bags but any donation is appreciated!

Mentors Needed at Greenmont Elementary

Mentors Needed at Greenmont Elementary!
Every student deserves to feel seen, known, and valued and one caring adult can make all the difference. Through a partnership with Miami Valley Leadership Foundation, Greenmont is looking for mentors (18+) who want to invest just one hour, one day a week, during the school day for one school year. Mentors meet with students at school, offering encouragement, support, and a positive presence. No special career background is needed - just a heart for kids and a willingness to show up. Training and ongoing support are provided, and all mentors complete background checks. One hour can change a little Firebird's life.

As the school year continues, many Kettering students still need essential supplies to stay focused and successful in the classroom. Kettering Neighborhood Bridges is collecting school supplies to support them all year long. If you have extra items or spot great sales or clearance items while shopping, please consider donating. All supplies go directly to Kettering students in need.

A staff member is teaching students a lesson about  what they can control in life. She wants to emphasize they can’t control other people’s words, behavior, actions or feelings but they can control their own. She would like to give every student a balloon and have them “control” it. She needs 600 easy to blow up balloons.
