"A Sensory Room Makes Sense"- Stapleton School

Students with various low-incidence disabilities, such as Autism and intellectual disabilities at Stapleton School have some high sensory needs and we are building an indoor sensory area to meet the needs of our students. We could use help to get the Sensory Room up and running for students who need a safe place to calm down and take a break when overwhelmed. Currently, the only sensory places are outdoors, such as the playground. This makes it difficult for students to access the space they need when inside the classroom, and impossible to use during rainy, very hot, or very cold days. All of the students using the room are served in the special education department, and the materials requested are substantial enough to last for many years of students’ sensory needs. Use the link below to choose and order items that have been selected for the sensory room, and choose shipping address "Stapleton Canby Sensory Room Gift Registry Address" to have items shipped to the school.
