Homeless Grandmother Raising Two Grandchildren Needs Assistance

***We are reopening this need to give this grandmother some extra time at the extended-stay hotel. She has been able to find housing but the apartment is not available for her to move into for a few more weeks. We are hoping to keep her in a safe place until she can move in.

 A guidance counselor from one of our elementary schools has reached out to us about a Dublin grandmother who is raising her two grandchildren due to their mom's instability with substance abuse. They have lived with friends but are no longer able to live there due to the friend's medical condition. The school counselor is working with two agencies to help this grandmother secure stable housing and employment. She currently cleans houses for a private agency part-time. The counselor has asked for help to secure a hotel stay for one month while they work toward becoming more stable. This hotel would be in the attendance area of the school that the children attend and would provide wifi and free breakfast, as well as a small kitchen area and laundry facilities. The counselor feels this family will be connected to resources within the month to provide more stability.
