Therapy for Sycamore Student

Sycamore Bridges is working with the Sycamore Schools social worker to fund additional counseling sessions for a student we previously helped. Since starting therapy earlier this year, the student has progressed beautifully; but they have expressed the desire to continue sessions as our financial commitment ends. The family does not have insurance coverage for these recommended therapies, and paying out of pocket would be a burden. Thanks to our Kindness Council member and valued community partner, Mental Matters Mission: The Marty & Bob Jacobs Foundation, we are able to fund monthly sessions through the end of 2025! No additional funds are needed at this time. We are so grateful to our local partnerships that allow us to reach our Sycamore families who need it most.

Short Hotel Stay for Sycamore Employee

Sycamore Bridges is working with a Sycamore Schools administrator to assist a Sycamore employee/resident. She recently took the brave steps to improve her life and is currently waiting for stable housing. She is in need of short-term help covering the cost of a hotel stay until her apartment is ready. Specifically, we have been asked to cover $433.76. If you would like to contribute to this request, CLICK HERE and designate your donation "Temporary Housing".

Uber Gift Card

Sycamore Bridges is working with an elementary school principal to help a family attend 4th grade graduation for their child. The family would all like to share in this momentous occasion, but they do not have transportation to get there. We have been asked to provide a $50 Uber gift card. If you would like to contribute to this request, CLICK HERE and designate your gift to "Uber Gift Card".

Rental Payment for Sycamore Staff Member

Sycamore Bridges is working with a community advocate to assist a Sycamore staff member with her rental payment. This hard-working, single mom had a month of unexpected expenses that caused her to fall short on her rent. Our hope is to offset her monthly payment of $1280 as much as possible so late fees do not accrue. This payment includes her sewer, utilities, and trash. If you would like to contribute to this request, CLICK HERE and designate your donation to "May Rent".

Lunch Debt for Graduating Seniors

We are so grateful to our Kindness Council member Spice Spice Baby Cincinnati who continues to combat lunch debt. Their May donation is directly supporting our graduating seniors who must pay all of their school fees in order to receive their final transcripts. Our goal is to clear out all debt for those families with graduating students on the reduced lunch program or experiencing financial hardship. We have just $700 left to collect! This will allow ALL of our seniors to graduate debt free. If you would like to make a donation to help us reach our goal, CLICK HEREand designate our contribution to "Lunch Fees".

Prom Mentors for Special Needs Students

Sycamore Bridges received a request from a Sycamore High School teacher to fund prom tickets for a group of dedicated college-aged mentors who have been working closely our special needs students. There are 7 leaders who have volunteered their time to provide meaningful high school experiences throughout the school year. The mentors have expressed their own excitement for the evening, especially after accompanying our students to Homecoming last fall. They have developed sincere relationships with our students, and are coordinating a memorable evening complete with prom pictures beforehand. Although they are not charged to enter the dance as chaperones, we would like to offer dinner to them so they can sit with the students during meal time to provide appropriate peer modeling and complete the authentic experience. We are collecting a reduced fee of $45/mentor, or $315 total. We only have $200 left to collect on this request. If you would like to contribute to this request, CLICK HERE and designate your gift to "Prom Mentors".
