AP Exams Round #2

Sycamore Bridges is working with the Sycamore High School counseling and testing teams to make sure all students are registered and paid for their AP exams. We currently have three more students seeking assistance. Each qualifies for a reduced fee of $53 each. If you would like to offer assistance, CLICK HERE and designate your donation to "AP Exams".

**UPDATED LISTS** 2024 Operation Give Back Holiday Store

Our lists have been updated to reflect the most recent holiday wishlists!

Sycamore Bridges is excited to partner with Operation Give Back to help fill their annual Holiday Store for the fifth year in a row! We recognize the added financial struggle for many of our neighborhood families around the holidays, and we believe all families should be able to celebrate this special time together in a carefree way. OGB is gearing up to provide assistance to 1000+ children this holiday season. Our organizations work together diligently to curate OUR AMAZON REGISTRY and (new this year) OUR TARGET REGISTRY to make sure every child receives an item from their wish list. The most requested items are listed first, but please scroll to the bottom to find options at every price point. Our lists will be updated frequently, so please check back often. Remember to select the "OGB Holiday Store" shipping address so the package is sent directly to us. Thank you for your continued support in making sure all of our neighbors have a memorable holiday season. (If you would like a tax receipt for your purchase, please reply to this post and we can email one to you!)

Recently Filled Needs

Double Stroller

Sycamore Bridges received a donation of a gently used double stroller. Through our amazing team of advocates, we were able to place this stroller with a very grateful family. If you have an item with lots of life left, please reach out to us to see if we can find a worthy home.

Gas Gift Cards

Sycamore Bridges is working with a school counselor to help a mom and her three children who are new to our district this school year. A few weeks ago, Dad left the family and is not providing any financial support. Mom is working through her expenses and making concessions where she can. She is currently driving UBER to earn some extra cash, so we would like to provide her with (4) $35 Speedway gift cards so she can pick up extra hours without incurring any extra expense. If you would like to offer assistance, CLICK HERE and designate your donation to "Gas Gift Cards". Alternatively, if you would like to offer a physical gift card, reply to this post and delivery instructions will be emailed to you.

Utilities + Insurance

Sycamore Bridges is working with a community advocate to help a family with two Sycamore High School students. An unexpected injury that required extensive rehab and therapy has left this family behind on their expenses. Mom and Dad have returned to work, so we would like to catch them up by covering their Duke bill ($420) and their car insurance ($201) to give them a little breathing room before the holidays. If you would like to offer assistance, CLICK HERE and designate your donation to "Utilities + Insurance".

Yearbook for HS Senior

Sycamore Bridges is working with a Sycamore High School counselor to purchase a yearbook for a graduating senior. The student confided that their family is unable to make the purchase, so they are working very hard to save enough money on their own. While we realize this is not a basic necessity, we do believe it is a meaningful part of high school and a treasured keepsake. The cost is $84.99. If you would like to contribute to this request, CLICK HERE and designate your donation to "Yearbook".

Boy's Clothing

Sycamore Bridges is working with a community advocate to provide clothing for a young Aviator whose grandmother just took custody. Thanks to an incredible donation from a local family, we were able to offer an entire wardrobe, size 12 months to 4T. We are so grateful to connect our neighbors with available resources and appreciate such beautiful donations.

AP Exam Fees for HS Students

Sycamore Bridges has been asked to cover reduced AP exam fees for several Sycamore High School students. Each student qualifies for a discounted fee, but still faces financial hardship in covering the cost. We are collecting $53 per exam for 3 exams, or $159. If you would like to offer assistance, CLICK HERE and designate "AP Exam" in your donation.
