School Supply Drive Underway!


Our Annual School Supply Drive is underway through July.  This year, we are providing school supplies for 330 K-12th-grade students at the New Albany Food Pantry.  This is 17% more students than last year!

Family with 14-Month-Old in need of Car Seat, Crib, Clothing, and Kitchen items


A New Albany Food Pantry family with a 14-month-old son needs furniture items, a crib, car seat, and clothing.

Single Mom of 2 Needs Rent Assistance


A single mom with 2 children fell behind on bills due to an ongoing medical issue of one of her small children.  She needs help with her July rent payment.

Mother of three children in need


A mother from the New Albany Food Pantry, who has three children, lost her job and fell behind on bills during the transition to a new job.  She needs assistance with her electric bill and could also use 2 bed frames and a kitchen table.

A New Albany Mother of 2 teens lost her job and had to go a few weeks without a paycheck during her transition to a new job.  As a result, she does not have the full rent amount that is due.

About New Albany

Christy Apple, Area Director

Christy was introduced to the neighborhood bridges through her work at the New Albany Food Pantry. She was excited to join New Albany Bridges and felt it was a great way to get further involved in the community. She has lived in New Albany since 2001 with her husband, Jonathan, and their 2 children who are both in the New Albany school district. Christy has a Health Service Administration degree from Ohio University and an MBA from Ashland University. She has worked in healthcare planning and administration for 20+ years and currently devotes her time to healthcare consulting projects. In her free time, she enjoys watching her children play in their many sporting events and spending time with friends and family. Christy is very excited to promote kindness in our community through New Albany Bridges!

Linda Finn, Area Director 

Linda Finn, a native New Yorker moved from Omaha, NE to Ohio eight years ago. She immediately loved the “small town” feel of New Albany and looked for an opportunity to get involved in the community. New Albany Bridges filled that need and she has been a consistent donor. Having the ability to remove barriers for our neighbors especially children is so fulfilling. Recently when approached with the opportunity to become an Area Director she realized that she could make even a bigger difference. Linda resides in New Albany with her husband Kevin and three children Conor, Katie and Megan. Linda is very excited to promote kindness in our community through New Albany Bridges! 

Jennifer Wilcoxon, Area Director

Jennifer developed a passion for helping people through her work at the New Albany Food Pantry where she had been working in various roles since 2018. Similar to Christy, she was introduced to Neighborhood Bridges through her work at the Pantry and has seen firsthand how the organization changes the lives of families in our community. Jennifer is an alumna of Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Chemistry. She earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Northwestern University completing her postdoctoral work at the University of Chicago. Jennifer resides in New Albany, is married, and has four children who are students in New Albany Schools. She looks forward to promoting kindness in our community through New Albany Bridges!
