Opportunities for Kindness

Family in need of reliable and safe transportation

We are reaching out on behalf of a wonderful family in our community who is in urgent need of a safe, reliable vehicle. Both parents are living with disabilities, which makes daily life especially challenging without proper transportation.
Right now, something as simple as getting to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or safely transporting their children is a daily struggle. A dependable vehicle would not only ease these challenges but also greatly improve their overall wellbeing, independence, and peace of mind.
Having reliable transportation would mean:
  • Safe and consistent access to important medical care 🏥
  • The ability to provide their children with stability and opportunity 🎒
  • Greater independence and dignity for both parents 💙
  • Reduced stress and improved quality of life for the whole family 🌟
Every bit of support makes a difference.
Together, we can help this family find the stability and security they deserve.

Refills for Student Success Closet - Stanton Middle School

Requesting the following items to re-stock our Student Success Closet:
10 packs of colored pencils
10 packs of loose leaf paper
10 travel size lotions

Laundry, Food, and Gasoline Assistance

Parent of an 8th grader lost her job.  She was recently hired elsewhere, but doesn't start for another week and money is very limited until she receives her first paycheck.  The parent has been able to tap into other resources for rent and utilities, but could use help with laundry, food, and gasoline costs.  The family does laundry at "Laundry Time" in Stow (near Aldi), which sells refillable "wash cards".  They get both food and gas at Meijer.

Clothing for Elementary School Students

We are in need of extra clothing items for our clinic at Walls Elementary so students can get cleaned up as needed (accidents, spilled food, falling in puddles/mud at recess etc). Having extra items on hand helps keep students in learning.

We are looking for:

- Leggings (sizes 5-12)
- Sweatpants (sizes 5-12)
- Athletic shorts (sizes 5-12)
- T-Shirts (sizes 5-12)
- Socks (kids sizes)
- Underwear (sizes 5-8)
- Shoes (kids sizes)

Knee socks for size Y10 shoe, bibs (solid colors, or stripes/polka dots - for a third grade girl)

Student needs socks to fit under her leg braces. Also, wears a "bib" to protect clothes and harness from oral secretions.
