Opportunities for Kindness
Lunch Balances
We are so grateful to our Kindness Council members who have helped to combat lunch debt in the past. Their donation directly supported our graduating seniors last year who must pay all of their school fees in order to receive their final transcripts. We were able to ensure all 161 of our seniors in need were covered and we would like to do the same this year. Our goal is to clear out all debt for those families with graduating students on the free and reduced lunch program or experiencing financial hardship. This will allow ALL of our seniors to graduate debt free and we currently have 250+ students with this need. Recently Filled Needs
A Lakota parent is seeking support to help their rising 5th grader participate in football this fall.
A Lakota parent is seeking support to help their rising 5th grader participate in football this fall. The student is passionate about the sport and has dreamed of playing on a team for the past two years but has been unable to afford the registration fees.
The family works hard but doesn’t have extra income for extracurricular costs. The football registration fee is $260, with $60 refundable upon completion of volunteer hours. In addition, the student is in need of cleats and other basic football gear.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to help make this opportunity possible for a young student eager to be part of a team.
Lakota family needs assistance paying electric bill
A Lakota family with three children is in need of help paying a past-due electric bill totaling $329.48. One of their children was recently hospitalized due to a sudden illness, causing the parent(s) to miss work and lose income.
Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Lakota family needs assistance paying electric bill
A hardworking single mother of two Lakota students is in need of assistance with her electric bill. Unexpected car repairs have recently put a strain on her budget, causing her to fall behind. She currently owes $469 to bring her electric account up to date. In addition, her utility bills have been consistently higher than anticipated, making it even more difficult to stay current. Any support during this time would be greatly appreciated.
Assistance with rent payment needed for a Lakota family.
A Lakota family needs assistance paying a portion of their March rent. The family fell behind due to a decrease in work hours. The amount they need is $350 by April 4th to prevent eviction. Any help is greatly appreciated!
