Lakota Bridges

Lakota Bridges is working with HS administration to provide financial assistance to students in need of their graduation cap and gown. The excitement of graduation and all of the celebratory events surrounding the end of a student's high school career can be overshadowed by the tremendous financial burden that accompanies it. Our hope is to lessen this burden for 4 students. Our cost for each student is $70. This includes the rental of the graduation gown and the purchase of a cap & tassel. A Lakota family consisting of mom and four children is in need of financial assistance in the amount of $561 to help them maintain stable housing. Due to unexpected and unavoidable expenses incurred while moving her household, she fell slightly behind with rent. She has been able to pay the majority of the balance but is in need of $561 to be fully caught up.  This assistance would provide her children with the stability they need and prevent any further disruption to their home life during this transition.

We are requesting urgent assistance for a young single mother of three who is facing a critical transportation barrier. Her vehicle is currently in need of necessary repairs, and without it, she is unable to get to work or transport her two younger children to daycare. Reliable transportation is essential for her family’s stability. If the vehicle is not repaired promptly, she risks losing her income and disrupting childcare arrangements, which would significantly impact her ability to provide for her children. The repairs are being completed by Mr. Godwrench Automotive, and the total cost to cover the needed work is $681.65. Assistance with this expense would immediately restore her ability to work, maintain childcare, and remain self-sufficient.
