Car insurance for single mom in Lakota

A hardworking single mother with children in the Lakota School district is currently facing a financial setback and needs support. Despite her best efforts to provide for herself and her three children, she has fallen behind on expenses and was unable to keep her car insurance active. As a result, she now needs $519 to reinstate her policy so she can continue driving to work and supporting her family.
Any assistance—no matter how small—is deeply appreciated and will make a real difference in helping her stay on track. If you would like to make a donation to help us reach our goal, click on our link,  https://givebutter.com/nbLakota and designate the  contribution to "Insurance."

Overnight Trip Assistance

An advocate has reached out for a student attending an overnight school field trip in the Fall. The student has needs for additional supports to be fully successful on this trip including an additional caregiver. We are trying to assist the mother with the cost of accommodations, as she will travel with the student and they will stay in a room together due to the level of support required in the evening, overnight, and early morning.  If you would like to make a donation to help us reach our goal of $800 (3 night lodging and 2 meals/day) click on our link,  https://givebutter.com/nbLakota and designate the  contribution to "Field Trip."

Family in need of reliable transportation

A family is in need of  reliable transportation to travel to and from work, school, and medical appointments. They have secured some funds but are in need of an additional $2,000.00 to be able to afford a reliable vehicle. Dad suffered a heart attack earlier in the year and an adult child has moved home to help. 2 students are still in school and need transportation to/from and dad needs help getting to medical appointments and mom and sibling are both working with only 1 vehicle. Lunch Balances

We are so grateful to our Kindness Council members who have helped to combat lunch debt in the past. Their donation directly supported our graduating seniors last year who must pay all of their school fees in order to receive their final transcripts. We were able to ensure all 161 of our seniors in need were covered and we would like to do the same this year. Our goal is to clear out all debt for those families with graduating students on the free and reduced lunch program or experiencing financial hardship. This will allow ALL of our seniors to graduate debt free and we currently have 250+ students with this need. If you would like to make a donation to help us reach our goal, click on our link,  https://givebutter.com/nbLakota and designate the  contribution to "Lunch Fees".

*** Update, we have currently been able to clear 49 graduating Seniors in need. Thank you for your kindness!! We still have some remaining balances and would love to clear those too.

A Lakota parent is seeking support to help their rising 5th grader participate in football this fall.

A Lakota parent is seeking support to help their rising 5th grader participate in football this fall. The student is passionate about the sport and has dreamed of playing on a team for the past two years but has been unable to afford the registration fees.
The family works hard but doesn’t have extra income for extracurricular costs. The football registration fee is $260, with $60 refundable upon completion of volunteer hours. In addition, the student is in need of cleats and other basic football gear.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to help make this opportunity possible for a young student eager to be part of a team.
