Lakota family needs assistance paying rent
A single parent of two Lakota students and a 3‑month‑old baby is struggling to cover their upcoming rent. Recent unexpected yet necessary expenses, combined with a reduction in work hours, have left the family short on funds. Although the parent has applied for additional work opportunities, nothing has been secured in time to meet their rent payment. The family would be deeply grateful for any assistance during this challenging time.
Dryer
A local family is experiencing a hardship after their clothes dryer stopped working, leaving them without a reliable way to dry their laundry. As a result, they are struggling to maintain clean and dry clothing for everyone in the household. This has become an ongoing challenge that affects their ability to manage day-to-day responsibilities. With limited alternatives available, having access to a functioning dryer would greatly improve their situation and help meet a basic household need. Thank you!
Lunch Balances
We are so grateful to our Kindness Council members who have helped to combat lunch debt in the past. Their donation directly supported our graduating seniors last year who must pay all of their school fees in order to receive their final transcripts. We were able to ensure all 161 of our seniors in need were covered and we would like to do the same this year. Our goal is to clear out all debt for those families with graduating students on the free and reduced lunch program or experiencing financial hardship. This will allow ALL of our seniors to graduate debt free and we currently have 225+ students with this need. Single mom of 5 kids needs assistance with furniture after getting stable housing
A Lakota mom of 5 kids found herself homeless due to issues with previous home and it being unsafe for her family. She is now stable in a new home but had to get rid of several pieces of furniture. She is in need of a dresser, full size bedframe and mattress, a queen or king size frame and mattress and a couch. If you can help she would be very thankful

A Lakota student has experienced a significant growth spurt and has outgrown his current bed. His mother is unable to afford a replacement, and the family is seeking assistance in obtaining a larger bed. We are looking for a full or queen mattress set so this student can get a good nights sleep.

Double stroller for local single mom
A local single mom is in need of a double stroller to help her safely and comfortably get her two young children—ages 10 months and 2½ years—to and from daycare. Their daycare is close enough to walk on nice days, which helps mom save on gas, but without a stroller, the walk is much harder. A stroller would make a meaningful difference for this family, easing daily transportation and providing some financial relief.
