About Pataskala
neighborhood bridges Pataskala will be the FIRST community to serve two school districts!
The students and families in need from Southwest Licking Schools and Licking Heights Schools will be served and directly impacted through our work.
Carol Stoffel - Area Director
Carol has been a life long resident of Pataskala. She graduated from Ohio University with an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Studies and was married to Steve, her high school sweetheart, for 43 years until cancer took his life in 2000. Together they have two married sons who both graduated from Watkins Memorial High School, and four wonderful grandchildren. Steve spent 35 years working at The Ohio State University and The James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute, with much of his career being in Human Resources. Carol was secretary at Etna Elementary School for 20 years. After retiring she has been a substitute secretary for Southwest Licking Local Schools for 15 years. She is active in her church and has been a volunteer for Hospice of Central Ohio for 15 years. Carol considers it an honor to promote kindness in her community through Pataskala Bridges.
Megan Myers - Area Director
Megan is a life long (mostly) resident of Pataskala, only living away for four years in Augusta, Georgia and three years in Clintonville. She attended Miami University and received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. After moving to Augusta to teach, she decided Ohio was calling her home, and she returned to teach in the school she, her parents, and grandparents attended. She received her Master’s degree from Ashland University in Curriculum and Instruction, and taught for 33 years before retiring in 2019. She still volunteers in the schools when she can. Megan loves travel, and spending time hiking in nature. She is excited to continue helping kids and families through her work with Neighborhood Bridges.
