Urgent Need: Help a New Fairfield Family Keep the Lights On đź’›

A single mom in our community is at risk of having her Duke Energy service disconnected on December 8th. After paying her rent and water bill this month, she simply doesn’t have enough left to cover the remaining $286.30 needed to keep her power on.

We are asking our community to come together and help bridge this gap for her. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated and will make a direct, immediate impact for this family.

This holiday season, we’re hoping to rally our community to support a local single parent who is caring for a medically complex child. After the child was recently hospitalized, Mom had to take time off work, which caused her to fall behind on their utility bill.
The family now urgently needs $132.99 by December 14th to prevent their utilities from being shut off.
If you are able to contribute—no matter the amount—it would make a meaningful difference for this family during a very stressful time.
Thank you for helping keep their home warm, bright, and safe this season. ❤️

❤️ Community Support Needed for a Family Starting Over ❤️

❤️ Community Support Needed for a Family Starting Over ❤️
We are excited to share some wonderful news—this single mom and her two children are finally no longer sleeping in their car. Joyfully, they were able to move into their new apartment on Friday, November 28, 2025.
As they begin rebuilding their home, we are reaching out to our generous community for help with some essential household items. The family is in need of:
  • 2 mattresses
(They currently have queen-sized mattress frames but would gladly accept smaller beds)
  • A couch
  • A dining room table with 3–4 chairs
  • Lamps
  • End tables
Your support can make a tremendous impact as this family settles into a safe, stable living space. If you’re able to donate any of these items—or know someone who can—please reach out.
Thank you so much for helping lift up this family during such an important fresh start. ❤️
