Opportunities for Kindness
We continue to need cases of bottled water since students are not able to use the water fountain. We have used all of the community donated water and are currently relying on teacher donations. If any local businesses or individuals are willing to donate, we would greatly appreciate it.
Please drop off bottled water at Gardendale Elementary School Office

UPDATE: Balance now $433 🥰 Widow on disability & SSI for child with special needs was without water. Thanks for helping towards the $2,535 water/sewer bill. The balance is down to $1,000 and must be paid to keep it on.
A family with a widow living on disability and SSI with school age children, including one with special needs was without water for months. Thanks to your generosity we’ve paid towards the $2,535 water and sewer balance. The water is back on with additional reconnection fees. The remaining balance is down to $433. Once the water was back on we learned the gas (hot water heater) was disconnected. A school counselor rallied her contacts to get the $872 gas bill paid and reconnected. We’re doing great and making a difference. The water bill balance of $1,000 must be paid or they will turn off the water again after only a few months. They were bathing at a relatives’ home in another community and filling up jugs for dishes and flushing. Please contribute what you can towards keeping clean, hot water in their home. This family is doing their part to get caught up and sincerely appreciates everyone’s support.
A family among us sits in a dark, cold house while we’re snug in our warm homes. No donation is too small towards the $1,200 needed to reconnect the power for this family with young children.
A family in our community is living without power. Share the warmth of this holiday season. Every contribution can add up towards the $1,200 needed to get their power back on.
