Opportunities for Kindness
Homeless Mom and Children
An advocate in one of the schools contacted us about a homeless mom and her two children who need a temporary hotel stay. They have found housing beginning May 1st but need a week's stay at a hotel until then. Dublin Bridges would like to provide them with this stay. We are hoping to raise $500 to help this family. Recently Filled Needs
Moving Costs for Senior
Our partners at Syntero are currently assisting a client who recently moved to Dublin. This client was living in a friend's apartment that had an extra bedroom. She is a single older adult with a low income, relying solely on Social Security. Her plan was to settle down and find a job while living in the apartment, which had a one-year lease. Unfortunately, her friend informed her at short notice that he was terminating the lease at the end of the month. This left her with no choice but to find a new place to live, and she was able to find a subsidized apartment that was more affordable for her. However, the cost of hiring movers to move her belongings to the new apartment is approximately $800, which is more than she can afford. She can only make a small contribution towards this cost. The client would be extremely grateful for financial assistance to cover the moving costs so that she can start her life again in her new home. Bed Frames Needed
An advocate from an elementary school reached out to us, seeking help for a single mother who has two children and is struggling to provide them with beds. The mother is working full-time, but due to financial constraints, she is unable to purchase bed frames for her kids. She hopes to have two bed frames so that her children can sleep comfortably without having to sleep on mattresses on the floor.
Rent Assistance Needed
An advocate has contacted us regarding a family that needs assistance with paying their rent. The advocate has been working with the family to overcome obstacles that have made it difficult for their child to attend school. Unfortunately, the father lost his job, but he is starting a new job this week. The family is now behind on their rent, and Dublin Bridges is hoping to provide them with $900 in order to prevent them from being evicted. If you would like to help this family, please click on "I CAN HELP," and a donation link will be sent to you.
